Tuesday April 7, 2015 After Advocare

Well, yesterday I was good,

am: 3 catalyst pills, 2 fish pills and water

30 minutes later: half of a whole grain English muffin, small coffee with fat free half and half, and water. Off to work!

lunch: spark, I never got a chance to eat the other half of my English muffin or my AdvoCare vanilla meal replacement shake.

dinner: 3 catalyst pills, 2 fish pills and water

30 minutes later: A turkey burger on you guessed it the other half of my whole grain English muffin with a little ketchup.

snack: salad with balsamic vinaigrette and a small coffee with fat free creamer

I decided to try those cookies made with egg, bananas, applesauce, cinnamon, oats and raisins. I really wish I could tell you they were yummy and totally replaced doughnuts. There is no sense in lying to you, you might even try them yourself. They need sugar, otherwise they were alright. Anyways I ate about six. ok maybe eight. I was hoping they would get better with every bite. Didn’t happen for me but I’ll try again tonight!

Today April 7. 2015,

am: 3 catalyst pills, 2 fish pills, and water

one hour later: egg on half of a whole wheat English muffin, small coffee with non dairy creamer, and water

Today is my day off so I slept in! Didn’t eat lunch.

I waited all day for the garage to call me. I dropped off my car last night so I would be able to sleep in hoping that if it was there I’d get it back reasonably early. Not the case, I didn’t get it back till around 4:00 and still had to go grocery shopping.

dinner: 3 catalyst pills, 2 fish pills and water

30 minutes later: yellow squash and chili made with celery, peppers, onion, garlic, stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, seasonings  and ground beef. I know I said I was gonna try really hard to be good but I’m weak. I’m a little sick of chicken and turkey. This diet thing is HARD. Did I ever mention to you that I only live about 2 blocks from Dunkin Donuts, Subway and a Burger King! Also about 3 blocks from Dominic’s Pizza and a McDonalds so don’t judge me! lol Oh the temptation.

snack: small coffee with non dairy creamer and 2 lousy banana cookies

Will try harder tomorrow!

Easter April 5, 2015

Easter
Happy Easter! My AdvoCare diet hasn’t been going to well. Yesterday I had a jelly doughnut with powdered sugar. I was good up until then. Today was another day not to be proud of. I started am with 3 catalyst pills, 2 fish pills and water. 30 minutes later asparagus in a light cream sauce left over from dinner and a small coffee with non dairy creamer and water.

dinner:3 catalyst , 2 fish pills, and water.

30 minutes later  Ed and I went to Texas Road House, we had chili, steak tips with onions and mushrooms over mashed potatoes smothered in delicious  fattening brown gravy, with a small coffee with half and half, and water. Just for the record I passed up the rolls with cinnamon butter and peanuts. Not so bad you say! Well it wouldn’t be Easter without chocolate, would it? So we stopped and bought some candy. Reese’s cup miniatures, Russell Stover whipped raspberry cream and coconut cream eggs and Hersey eggs. I am so stuffed!

Now I’m really going to be super strict with the rest of this week. I’m sure tomorrow will be tough after eating so much today. I’ll most likely feel hungry all day tomorrow. That’s the worst of it. I weighed in this morning at the same 140 lbs. Still hoping to loose more but I won’t be able to unless I stick to the diet. I was planning Sunday as my cheat day, have to wait and see how much damage a cheat day does.

I’m hopeful that I can still have my favorite foods occasionally and not have to worry about the impact. Well Happy Easter, hope the bunny was good to you. I hear hard boiled eggs are a good snack, to bad they smell like asssss!

Friday, April 3, 2015

Started the day with 3 catalyst pills, 2 fish pills, and water.

30 minutes later egg white sandwich on whole wheat English muffin, small coffee with fat free creamer, and water. Off to work.

lunch: spark. Was to busy didn’t even get to eat my veggies. I’m going to start taking a meal replacement drink with me as well as my veggies, just in case there isn’t time to eat. Gloria brought me some yoga pants and polish for my toe nails. They are the tinniest pants. I probably could let my granddaughter wear them. lol She has so much faith in us. Good friends really do make a difference in weight loss. I want to loose the weight for her as much as me. Tried vanilla AdvoCare replacement shake today. Let me tell you it is really yummy! Got myself some of those, they remind me of Carnation Instant Breakfast which I love.

dinner: 3 catalyst pills, 2 fish pills and water

30 minutes later red clam sauce with celery, carrots, yellow squash over small amount of whole grain pasta, small coffee with fat free creamer and water.

Ed has a work out plan which we started on Tuesday. We started with back muscles:

I only used 3lb dumb bell

over head dumb bell pull over

bent over dumb bell rows and raises

stretches

Wednesday: we worked shoulder muscles

Again 3lb dumb bell

dumb bell press

dumb bell front raise, side raise and a lying side raise

Thursday I was sore either from shopping carrying a 50 lb purse or from Wednesdays exercise!  I have to be extremely careful because I have a bad back. I go to the chiropractor every 2 months to keep my back in alignment. I know what your thinking but my chiropractor is amazing. There have been times I could hardly walk and he would have me able to go back to work in a few days. The only thing a medical doctor did was prescribe muscle relaxers which deadened the pain and made me high. So I certainly could not go to work, but it was a good time, lol My chiropractor doesn’t’  want me to carry a purse so I hide it in the car when I go for my appointment. If I must carry one I’m supposed to wear it in front. Maybe when I loose some weight but think how funny I would look with a 50 lb. purse across a ever so large stomach! ugh

AdvoCare Thursday, April 2,2015

Like with every diet after awhile you start to slip away from keeping track, posting blogs, watching what you eat! I’ve been pretty good up until now. I’m still taking the am 3 catalyst pills and 2 fish pills. Today for breakfast had an egg on whole wheat English muffin, small coffee with fat free creamer, and water. Lunch was grapes, radish, and green peppers, more water. I went shopping with my sister, I read a lot of labels and came up with almost everything has sugar. I looked up some reviews on AdvoCare and one made me concerned about cutting out dairy, so of course I want to find a product that has calcium with out all the sugar. I was surprised to find milk has sugar, I always knew it had a high fat content, but sugar? I thought horses ate sugar cubes not cows! So now I’m going to try Lactaid milk, it does have some sugar, but zero fat, and is fortified with extra calcium. I don’t want to be with out calcium so I’ll give it a shot. It probably tastes like crap. I bought some fresh veggies, oranges, store brand cheerios, which surprising has only one gram of sugar.

dinner: two fish pills, three catalyst pills and water

Then of course Subway has a new chicken Frito enchilada sandwich that I absolutely had to try! At least it was just a six inch on flat bread (whole wheat flat bread) smothered in sauce, with a creamy chipotle sauce! Must have been a million calories! It is so hard to give up these things. I have visions of doughnuts dancing in my head. I am starved for goodies! I know I can do this but I’m not sure I will. Weight loss is tough! If I’m not careful I’ll wind up telling myself to go back to eating sugar and fat because I shouldn’t go without calcium. lol

Well another day in the life of a crazy dieter! Looks like I better try harder tomorrow! Did I mention Sunday is Easter and I gave up red meat for lent. I need BEEF!

AdvoCare review Monday March 30, 2015

This is the end of my 10 day cleanse. Well here are my results : lost 2 pounds and three inches.  I am happy with the results, I would’ve like to loose more. Amber lost 5 lbs. I’m not sure about Sherrie. Advocare is really a 24 day challenge and I probably would have done better on that. My income  wouldn’t allow for that at this time. Maybe in the future! The cleanse is actually affordable, you just use the money you would spend on goodies and then you can afford it. I seem to save on my food bill by buying healthier choices. I didn’t buy organic. just regular, sale and clearance produce. Chicken breasts are way cheaper than beef, oatmeal is less than packaged cereals and eggs are always cheap.  I definitely cut back on portion sizes so that also helped my savings.

It is also great to have a little support. I had Amber, Sherrie, Ed, my family, my friends and great sponsor Gloria Halulko . If you would like to know more about Gloria go to  www.advocare.com/140931128  She has really been a great friend and motivator to Sherrie, Amber and myself. Give it a shot, what do you have to loose? Inches, pounds, low self esteem!!!!

Also, and maybe most important I feel healthier and am really proud of myself. Two pounds in 10 days is better than a whole summer and 0 lbs, So people it is really for you to decide. Keep in mind God loves you just the way you are. Can  you say the same about yourself? I know from experience that it is very hard to look into a mirror and see a fat person starring back and still love this person. Sure if its your parent, child, spouse, best friend, mostly anyone, except  you! You matters and you need to feel good. It is really a struggle to give up sugar even for 10 days. I should’ve started with, hi my name is Nancy and I’m addicted to sugar. So I will end with it. Hi my name is Nancy and I’m addicted to sugar.  This is a new beginning….

Busy day at work today, there was an animal shelter fund raiser. Still had a few minutes for waist measurement, drumroll please, pause wait for it, a 36! Yes down from 39 to 36 in 9 days! If you only know my story to know how amazing this really is. Back in 2012 my daughter was getting married. All summer long I dieted to look good for her wedding. Well I cut back on food, goodies, walked every night, rode my bike, ate healthy, all summer long! And it was a longggg summer. I didn’t loose a single pound. I was so discouraged, and disappointed with myself. The wedding was great anyways, I got an amazing daughter in law. Actually there have been many times I tried to lose a few lbs. So this is a first for me. So people don’t give up Advocare is a good way to loose weight quickly and with moderate effort. The real test will be to see if I can keep it off and loose more.  My total goal is 20 pounds, seems doable right?

dinner: 3 catalyst pills and water

salad with grilled chicken, radish, mushrooms, cucumber, lettuce, spinach, grapes and topped with salsa, 2 fish pills, small coffee with non dairy creamer and water

snack; cookies and cream protein shake made with flax protein milk and a half of a banana

Day 8 Friday March 27, 2015

am: 3 catalyst pills, 2 probiotic pills, and water

Off to work, find out I should’ve drank my fiber drink! Really bummed about that 🙁 I hope it doesn’t affect my results any.

radish, cucumbers, grapes, peppers and snow peas, spark and water

dinner: fiber drink , 3 catalyst pills, and water

red clam sauce with carrots, celery, zucchini, served over one ounce of whole grain pasta, small coffee with non dairy creamer, 2 fish pills and water.

Day 7 Thursday March 26, 2015

jellydonut
Day 7

am: 3 catalyst pills, 2 probiotic pills, water

breakfast: small coffee with almond milk, 2 fish pills, Chicken sandwich with spinach and peach salsa on one slice whole wheat bread, water

Weigh in: 143 lbs. I lost 2 lbs!!! I’m off today, but there will be no celebrating with a Dunkin doughnut and coffee! I should be ashamed to say but almost all my celebrations are around food. I  see that pattern throughout my whole life. My mom raised me to be that way and I raised my children the same way. I hope my kids  are able to break that evil pattern. I hope my grand daughter hates sugar. Sugar is like heroin! Only you can buy it everywhere. There is even peer pressure, come on try it, just take a small taste, it won’t bite you, no one  gets fat from  just one bite, I don’t want to throw it out. (guilt) Then you say well alright just one little taste and there it is you are hooked. I’ve never been able to be just a social sugar eater. No not me, I can’t stop at just one, I can easily eat an entire bag of candy or 6 doughnuts no problem. I can do this one day at a time…. Found a recipe for cookies using, bananas, apple sauce, vanilla, oats and raisins. Turns out raisins are bad to. Funny, I was always told raisins are a healthy snack.

lunch: banana, water, radish,  snow peas, and grapes

dinner: 3 catalyst pills, water

2 egg whites, with chicken, broccoli, peppers, onion, and mushrooms, small coffee with non dairy creamer, 2 fish pills, and water
